996 turbo boost output; What is normal?

What is the normal amount of pressure or range i should expect form my stock turbos on a 2001 996tt. I cannot get past .7.Is this correct or do i have and underlying issue?

.6 - .7 bar on a normal 996TT. (measured in 3rd or 4th gear WOT)

.8 - .9 bar on an X50.

These are steady state numbers, you may occasionaly see higher spikes.

0.6-0.7 is perfectly normal. With an ECU flash you can get boost to 1.0-1.1. Enjoy

Do you see higher boost pressure with lower temps or higher temps?

I think on my X50, I use to see .9 in the summer and now I see .8 bar with colder temps. Does this make sense, or am I overlooking other factors. (same gas, same test road, same 3rd and 4th gear around 4K-6.5K rpm) at WOT.

depends on if the car is warm and of course, there's an octane sensor on these cars so you SHOULD see the car develop peak boost when the CAR is warm, and the air is cold (faster) but again, there are a number of factors that might affect your results. looks normal, though.

the car will not give you full boost if the car isn't thoroughly warmed up and you may also see it limited by poor fuel quality.

gas quality is not the same year round. depending on where you live, and the season, there can be varying degrees of additives that will affect things.

Should be other way around. All things equal cold air = more boost.
