Does unplugging the battery clear fault codes?

Hey guys,

I just went through the exercise of cleaning my MAF sensor and no real change. All the fault codes are still on. Does disconnecting the battery clear fault codes or will I have to go to the dealer to reset them?

Thanks

Jake

I bought a cheapie code reader from pep boys that will clear the codes. Not sure if disconnecting the battery will clear them.
