Is the B&M TOO short??
B & M Short Shifter
Give me a call on Tuesday, I'm not that far from you and you can come down and try the Short Shifter in my C4S. Porsche suggust that you do not shorten throw more than approx 33%. that's what they do in there Cup cars. I sell the B&M shifter for $209.00 an have them in stock. I had Pfaff Porsche install my RUF SS and Fabspeed Maxflo along with my new engine ( see earlier posts on new engine)...what a combo, its a new car, I have the RUF dialed in at 40%, probably take it to 50% next time its up, love it.
The Fabspeed is outrageously good, love the sound and torque...WOT gives me a huge smile..

Is the B&M race shifter on Evolution Motorsports' website the same thing as is being discussed here or is it another variant?
Regarding the RUF short shifter, I know it attaches at the transmission, but can anyone shed some light on the level of difficulty of that installation? Is the linkage where it is to be installed readily accessible? How much of a % reduction will the RUF SS alone provide?

I just installed the EVO short shifter and I am very happy with it. The thing I don't like about the B&M is that it does not replace the plastic coupler that holds the shift linkage to the shifter. That part has broken on me twice at the track. The EVO replaces this with a metal connection. No more piece of crap plastic breaking on me!
