Gang

I wanted to write a few lines about my experience with Chicago Motorcars.

I just bought a 2003 996TT X50 from them.

I have bought many cars over time and 99% of dealers are jerks. Just what I have observed in owning about 20 different cars.

Parin and his gang are different. We had some challenges that were mechanical in nature and he and his staff handled it in true profesional form.

For example: My wife and I flew back to Chicago on One Way tickets to pick up the car, drive to see my family in mid Illinois and then drive home. We arrived at Midway Airport to be greeted by Sam and a nice Range Rover. He took us to the shop where we saw my baby . But when I went to pull the car out the accumulator failed. Parin was embarrassed as hell. They had just replaced the clutch and he had personally driven it for two days to make sure it all worked.

Poop happens. He gave us a nice BMW 645i for the weekend. Bought our tickets home and then shipped the car to me at his expense. He got it to the dealer and had them go over the car with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was good.

He spent time to keep me up to date and the guys at his place knew me by name and NEVER once acted like I was a bother. They respected me as a customer. I got a great car at a good price and was very happy.

I would buy from him again in a heart beat.

Now to fiddle with the car some more

I found Parin to be a stand up Guy. So that helps as it is HIS reputation on the line.

This is one of the first truly positive reviews I have heard about CMC.

For reference, my father had a so-so buying experience: We bought a 2005 International CXT and Parin assured my father that

1) The illuminated ABS light actually meant the ABS was functioning when it wasnt (silly..but because its damn-near a commercial truck, we didnt know any better)
2) The AC worked flawlessly when in reality it was leaking and they had just recharged it temporarily
3) The paint was flawless when in reality the tail gate had chips where it meets the bed

None of that was a crazy big deal as he got a good deal, but it soured the happiness over the purchase a bit.

Search this forum for Chicago Motor Cars and GT2...there was a recent "issue" regarding a GT2 they were selling.

I'm super glad that all turned out well for you and your opinion of Parin is positive. I wish I could have had the same experience. Maybe some of us speaking up about our bad experiences have made them shape up to stay in business. My hope is that they start treating everyone as well as they did you.

I read that to. Sounded like he was forthcoming.

And as always you hear more negative than positive in almost any industry.

Tim, I am glad you love the car. It is a great car for a great price. I can not wait to see the pictures of the car after the goodieeees are installed.

The one thing that I have never experienced is that the process when Tim committed to the car and till he recieved the car was almost 4 weeks. I truly believe that is understanding. We made a mistake, he allowed us to correct it, the car was deliever 4 weeks later, and his patience was GREATLY appreciated.

Tim, CONGRATS, thank you for the purchase, and can't wait to get the trades!

Thanks
Parin Shah

P.S. By the way you are absolutely right about the negitivity about our company on this forum. I feel it is so funny after all in all we have sold over 300++ cars to members of this forum and I can say less than 1% are unhappy with us. Not to mention the GT2 was sold to a member as well. Trust me the member was well informed prior to purchase. Can't wait to see what members have to say about him.....

I dont know how accurate that figure is..if youve sold 300 cars, that means there were 3 unhappy buyers. Ive read about quite a few more than 3 unhappy customers on this site alone.

Your 2003 TT X50 might be great now... but I would hold judgment on how great the car is until you keep it for awhile.

There might be a reason why he's being so accommodating.

He could just be slow on the update.

That was my first thought. Little things that werent mentioned will inevitably pop-up.

That said, Im sure you will love 996TT ownership (seriously).

Quote: Last fall I moved from LA to Grand Rapids. My 2007 911 with an aero kit was no match for 104" of snow. I hated seeing this car standing still in the garage. This fall, as the leaves started to turn I started doing extensive research to find a perfect Cayenne Turbo S.

My search took me to Chicago Motor Cars. Parin and his team truely appreciated the pristine condition, 12M miles, and features on my car. I negotiated a deal on an absolutely mint 2006 Turbo S with 9M miles. The deal was fair, straight forward and handled businessman to businessman.
Unlike a handful of Porsche dealers with the, "Whats mine is mine and what's yours is mine" rip-off, treat you like an idiot, mentality.

Parin and CHC are an ethical, values-based, high-integrity shop. The only problem I encountered at CHC was being tempted to go off of my buying strategy by the low mileage, absolutely perfect 911's, M5's, M6s, Alpinas and Mercedes on their floor. Where do they find these cars?

Two bits of advice. Check out Chicago Motors Cars. NEVER, NEVER buy new.

I can't recommend Chicago Motor Cars highly enough.
I wish I could say the same. I bought my car last November and Parin still owes me $1500 for a tune he said he was going to throw in with the car purchase. He told me he had a friend in Tulsa, OK that would tune my car for me, and he would pay for it. When I got back to Oklahoma after picking up the car he told me he could not get ahold of his friend, I think his name was Billy, so he would just send me a check for a tune. He told me he overnighted the check 3 times, and never did. He now no longer answers my phone calls, and will not return any of my messages. He also told me the car had TUBI exhaust on it. When I picked up the car it was raining and I just wanted to get the car loaded and get home (8 hour drive one way). Well, when I got home and started looking at the car it had NO exhaust on it just a muffler delete. I know that was my fault because I should have looked before I left, but I feel like he should have been a lot more honest. I will NEVER recommend him or his company to anybody.
