New issue of Car Magazine arrived yesterday. In addition to a test drive of the new Carrera S (they love it), they report on a number of new Porsche products in development. The most interesting -- they say Porsche will have a mid-engine supercar to compete with the Gallardo ready for production in a few years. No design hints given.

They already have a mid-engined supercar...It's called the Carrera GT... :-)

That is true. But it is not remotely in the Gallardo price range, nor is it as readily available.

All they have to do is to take the boxter, make it a little wider and stuff the turbo engine in there.
