Turning off 'traction control'
Turning off 'traction control'
I thought by deactivating PSM, the 'traction control' would be deactivated too. I found out today, even with PSM off, the traction control still functions (I felt it pull me out of tire spin and caught a glimpse of the dash light).
is there no way to turn off the traction control in a 996 TT?

well, "if" I were to unexpectedly "lose" it, I guess it would be good to "come on" and save me...but I was hammering around a corner today and wouldnt have minded a little 'tires on the edge' action

. I dont like the way it pulls me out of it
. I guess it stays 'slightly' on more for drivetrain abuse safety as much as anything. Axles, joints, and trannys don't like wheels whipping loose then grabbing traction.
thats a good question... about tiff - ive seen that video and that clip a thousand times and never get sick of it

but does traction really be ON?
mybe this light only shows, when car lose traction?
because on track, when PSM is off, I don't feel that traction controll is enabled, not a little bit, but see often flashing traction light...

Dont hit the brakes while you are sliding and it'll leave you alone. Part of it is the AWD pulling you out of it as well, more power going to the front wheels (supposedly) at this time.
Happened to me last week, lmfao, check this video, I come on the scene about 5:55, watch me exit for some off road action on the right around 6:06, lol

LOL, glad the car is ok. I know I've had my fare share of lawnmowing.
What caused the spin?
LMAO!!!

Dooood, you were FLYING bro! That was awesome, glad you're ok.
Let's go to the Ring - the Armco won't stand a chance against us, and maybe I'll get an insurance writeoff.
