Drivetrain after 1 year at 700 HP

I am in the middle of a cluch install and when the tech took the transmission out, he discovered a broken transmission mount (the rubber bushing was cracked) and the rubber portion of the flange where the front drive shaft mounts was also cracked. These parts were checked last winter as part of the Protomotive 700 upgrade and they were fine. One season / 15,000 miles at 700 HP and they are broken. It could just be age and fatigue (5 1/2 years & 79,000 miles) or it could be they are not designed for 700 HP or maybe a combination of the two (my guess) and maybe it's from those 1/4 mile days (my guess also)...the parts are not too bad from a cost standpoint...and I think I will get more than one season out of the new parts. We'll see...Any other high HP cars see this?

Question Transmission mount

John, was there any noticeable vibrations or noise associated with the
failure?

Just replaced my third one due to the same problem,

Mines running 610bhp.

only thing i noticed was an occasional colnk when selecting reverse and pulling back.

No, my engine is not rebuilt and there was no sign of these failures. Had we not taken things apart, I never would have known...

John, can you post some pictures of the failed parts? Was it just the rubber bushings that failed and not the aluminum hard parts?

It was just the rubber bushing was cracked. They said that they can dry out and crack and it could just be age, but going to the 1/4 mile strip a few times didn't help any...No pictures yet, but I can get some later this week.

Do you have the part numbers and the cost? I'm dropping my tranny for the clutch this weekend, so I might as well do some preventative maintenance while I'm in there. I'm coming up on 60k miles pretty soon.

~80k miles and high horsepower.. Doesn't sound that outrageous that it would be time for new mounts.
