Break Pads that make less dust?

I just cleaned my wheels. That took as long as washing the car.

Are there any pads that make less dust?

Thank you for the suggestion. $10+K is more than I want to spend on this.

porterfields are a good choice. I have them on our MB cars. I am pleased with the performance and the huge reduction in dust.

Oh and BTW, it is BRAKE not BREAK (a peeve of mine)

Why would someone want to put soft low-performance pads on a sportscar just to lessen dusting???

Giving up braking performance for the convenience of having to clean wheels less is ludicrous for a Porsche..particularly a Turbo. I hear Mercedes Benz cars use a softer compound...

Who said anything about giving up performance?

Performance is the same or better.

What Porterfield pads are you referring to? I've used them on other cars, primarily R4's and R4S's (pads) and they dust horribly.

I use R4S. They are not dustless but I experience about an 80- 90% reduction.

I love them but they can be a little squeeky sometimes.

Sure, you don't contribute for weeks at a time and then you come over here from your newfound love: www.hummers"R"us.com to insult my friends: Periokid and hawk your wares: Lotus Elise. Pretty soon Darren is going to have to ban you and you'll have to come back under an assumed name, just like Rave did over at the M5 board some years ago. That Turbo of yours must have been cursed to transfer from one angry young man to another!

Listen, either you are here to disrupt this thread or the one about what are you. Before long I'm going to have to put Scott down in Houston on you and he really knows how to cut a guy deep. Fer cryin out loud, change your avatar too. Maybe Dan has a picture of the other end of that monkey you can borrow.

waxing the wheels (soem even Rejex) helps reduce how much brake dust 'clings' on to them...

Mintex Redbox pads are great. The pads for the TT should be in the US anytime now.
