Koreatown, CA - any turbo's?

i was driving around korea town for lunch this saturday, in my girlfriends bug.

seems like koreans like the mercedes and the bimmers mostly - tons of m3's, 745, s500, sl500, cl500...
handful of boxsters
but hardly any 996's.

except one silver stock turbo that drove by on western, with a girl driving it!

i thought koreans didn't like porsches very much until the race thread...

see many of you around in k-town?

No way in hell I would drive my GT2 into K-town. Driving around Korean girls and women and old fogies can be hazardous to your health, or at least to your Porsche's health!

In addition, once I dropped a friend off in a pretty shady part of K-town, and I can tell you that I used all 700 HP to rip down Olympic at 1:00am in the morning to get the hell out of there!

In general, it doesn't seem like many Koreans are into Porsches... most of them are still yet to be enlightened and are dicking around with their M3's and Mercedes. Oh, if they only knew...

AND to my Korean homie Don Relentless-- FAWK YOU!

This seems to be true everywhere you go. It's the true enthusiasts that you'll see in Porsches, etc. However, for the price, styling, etc. the M3 is an awesome car which most young professionals can afford.

Most of the people driving in the SLs, S500s, etc. are all 1st generations who still have the mentality that Benz/BMWs are the best in terms of quality and saftey, and porsches are too flashy.

My Parents for one will never buy anything but mercedes. Plus, in Korea, there are so many BMWs and Mercedes....not too many porsches. Most of the young 1st generations that you see driving around in benzes, etc. are purchased by their parents...so they really dont have much of a say. A porsche would be out of the question.

I am a what you would call a 1.5 generation Korean and I am on my 8th Porsche. I go to Korea town with my wife about twice a week(get away from the kids!) for the restaurants and cafes and if you go to the right place you will see a lot of Porsches. Not as common as the Mercedes and BMW's but I could usually spot a couple in a given parking lot.

I have seen that girl for years now. can't say what i don't know about her, but i would bet it ain't good.
there are quite a few spinning around the area of k-town, but not many that actually reside in k-town. none of which are modded as well. tyson would know best since he frequently scours the neighborhood for young gold diggers. his bait of choice, is a wad of singles wrapped with one $100 bill. more power to you ty.

If only you knew what I knew about K-town. Let's leave it at that.

Besides, why would anyone want to leave the Westside? And better yet, why would I ever want to drive my GT2 through there? And you wonder why fools get jacked?

But if anyone really knows K-town it's Eric, cause his knowledge of Korean "entertainment" and relaxation venues is unparalleled.

You got me there... go figure, dude can get any chick he wants and he ends up with one from a K-town place.

Hey man, looks like I have to change the party date to the 24th. Are you sure you're going to be in Atlanta that weekend, or can you make it back by Sat. night?

Saunas / massage parlors in K-town are all legit businesses. There's a few in the K-town area, but the K-saunas in Rowland area are better.

PM me for more dirt . . . I mean, info on better spots.

BTW, too many little youngsters and wannabe gangsters out in K-town area at night. Got my $hit keyed one too many times out there and way too many drunk asses brawlin' after clubs / cafes . . so you gotta' watch where you park your ride. Was watching some dumb asses in a shove match in Intercrew parking lot a few weeks back and one dumb *** landed on some poor guy's hood and it completely caved in.
