Clutch pedal pressure issues

The pressure on my clutch pedal is now changing continuously. When the car has sat a few days, the pedal is stiff until the car fires and I pump it a few times, then it softens. Once I start driving the pressure is never consistent. The clutch will be stiff, soft, or a combo as the pedal is moved.
The clutch itself appears to be working fine, no slippage, and grabbing mid-way on the pedal movement.
Anyone have a problem like this before? Is there a fluid leak and if so where could I check?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Clutch pressure accumulator. $120 part, 3 hours labor.

Do you also get some overflow from the PS reservoir in the front? Another symptom of the same problem.

Good luck!

A shop here in Temecula, AutoHaus Frankfurt. Tech is Shane. I also have a friend, that can do this on the side. He is the one that installed my turbos. Not sure on his price though, but I can ask if you want.

So as to not start another thread about the clutch accumulator, I'll high jack.

Can I do any more damage to the car by not repairing the clutch accumulator right away? My only sympton is the stiff pedal at start up aka "morning wood."

Just called the dealer , said it will go until there is not enough pressure to shift so that is all the damage that can happen, push the part until it is done... And not force the shift, when it doesnt allow to shift you pushed it till its final moment but no further damage.

I have the "morning wood" syndrome but no other symptoms yet after starting the car. Sunset Porsche had a sale on the accumulator and clutch slave last month. I bought both just in case and saved myself $150. Now I have the parts when the time comes.

Should one change both the accumulator and clutch slave when doing it or just the accumulator?

Most folks do both as you have already paid for the labor...

T2, the guy with 200k miles, has put 5 into his car. My "second" is going up now...so I am switching to a gt2 set up. 1k for the parts. 3-4 hours of labor...but no more accumulator or slave...brake fluid now rather than pentosis. FYI to anyone who doesn't know. Yes, it is more, but the feel per John D is much better for the clutch.
