Thinking of doing something other than the standard checkerboard. Anyone like these ideas? These are for my new 42'W x 30'D garage I'm building... 3 Garage doors entering at the bottom of each diagram...

Looks like some kind of psycho test.
I'm a # 4.

 

The darker the floor the more it will absorb light and the darker (and smaller) the garage will seem. Make sure you plan for a lot of light! I added Halide fixtures from Griot's and love them. If you install these make sure you also have some incandescent lighting because the halide lights take a couple of minutes to warm up.

 

I like #4, but I would be concerned about it being too dark. My second is #10.

Dr. T I am putting in 36 recessed fixtures, throwing 150W each = 5400W of light, should be plenty. ;-)

 

Wow, That took some time. I did one or two designs once and it took forever clicking on each tile to scan through the colors.

 

I did it with Photoshop -- no way I would use Kiwi's awful online tool (which is better than Racedeck's at least..).

 

Sorry Miami is now our ACC rival! I'd just as soon put a big VT in there!! Hehe

Having recently done the Kiwi tile, I do like#8. However, the good old checkerboard gives you the most flexibility.

It will be a blast putting it down!
