RWD/PSM issues

A friend of mine has converted 996TT to RWD, front Diff out etc. He tracks the motor and mention he is getting big time issues with PSM kickin in, to the point of being dangerous.

I know it still hangs around like a bad odour, bit is there anything he can do to sort this out.

Would GT2 ECU work?

I have heard of upgraded sensors for control arms, would these help?

Can it be swithched off completely?

Does he have LSD?
Does he drive with the PSM on?

Tell him to turn it off, if he doesnt have an LSD and tracks with PSM what does he expect to happen when he's losing traction? Even without it on if he doesnt hit the brakes, it wont bug him all that much (though it will bother him some).

He can program it out, or take out the PSM/ABS fuse, but you guessed it, that means no ABS either.

I turn PSM off everytime I get in the car unless there is standing water.

Not sure about the GT2 ECU. I've heard of the breakers being pulled for the PSM system, but not sure. And the sensors on the control arm I think you're reffering to is a Headlight leveler(on the driver forward control arm) that in some manner has to do with PSM. I haven't gotten a straight answer on this.

Basically I don't know **** except I turn PSM off all the time.

Steve I also agree with the guys above. I never drive with the PSM on at the track. I hope no real PSM problems when turned off I just pulled my front diff out!!
