Thumbs up JIC and GT3 sways----> NO PROBLEMS

Hey guys- Just finished putting on my JIC coilovers, TE mode 20 wheels and GT3 sway bars. NO issues at all. I was reading all kinds of threads of people using gt3 front bar and having axle scoring issues/non adjustablility. Not over here, adjustable and fuctional. They went on just fine with the factory sway carriers and boy does this car stay leveled!!!

Since im not using the factory sway links, perhaps thats the difference. The front and rear sways definitely a plus!

Kenny,
How do you like the TE's. Where did you hook them up from? I had them for while my self. Where in San Diego do you live. I surf a lot at Scripps and PB area when I get down there.

Give us a little more dirt on the difference in handeling characteristics with the JIC coilovers and GT3 bars.

I'm really looking forward to getting it installed. I am curious as to:

1. the reduction in porpoising during hard acceleration.
2. what a high speed corner feels like vs stock.
3. will it get me more chicks.

1) The stiffer spring rate will fix that. Even with my crazy brakes I no longer do that.
2) Higher speed turns feel a LOT more stable. No more constant corrections
3) ROFL! I can personally garantuee the chicks will LOVE the rough ride:P

suspension

The suspension is great. Nice and stiff. Some people say its too stiff- I personally think it smoothens the ride out (until a massive bump appears). The sway bars helped a lot with the understeer and made the suspension so much more stable- If I would critique the suspension, I would say its tight and responsive. The corners are that much easier to conquer!

Sharster is definitely right about the info- especially about the chicks

Rodis- Im a wholesaler so I get parts from many tuners and the work is done all by me. The techart front, the techart wing (courtesy of Donrelentless!), the JIC & TE wheels (by design), Exhaust/tuning/filter/dv's (courtesy of EVO motorsports stgII)- Come down to san diego and hang out sometime- I don't surf but we can find some canyons to carve!

KennyTT -> sounds very impressive. What springs are you using? Medium or FIRM?

Zippy- Thank you- They are medium springs. I was told the firm springs still aren't too bad from Ben at JIC- although I figured the benifits of using firm springs on the race track wasn't worth losing ride quality on the streets!

dbelleperc- Yes that was at Qualcomm at the import fest. I was asked to be in a vendor booth for a carbon fiber company- even though I still have yet to put some carbon in the vehicle- lol

On the JIC Website it appears as thought the options for the 996TT are: 7/10 - 8/12 - 10/14. I would assume the mediums are the 8/12's

Thanks for the info

My set inadvertantly had 12/16 installed but backwards to boot, 16 front and 12 rear, what a nightmare trying to figure that out, took the car apart numerous times, finally installed H&R 8 KG front and going to do the alignment tomorrow, hopefully all will be well

BTW JIC support SUX!!!!!!!
