Atomic's MTI Racing 07 Z06 made 560 or 570 RWHP in front of many of us at TX2K8.

It is ONE very formidable track weapon (oh, it has many of the track goodies pictured above like LG).

Looks like I will have to get coilovers and a front splitter now. Jim's Z06 is a great looking track car - not sure I could do the rear spoiler and still use mine as a daily driver though.

I will be up at BIR on Monday the 12th and this will be my first chance to compare the mods on a track I ran with the car stock.

 

Wish I was there this week instead of last. Gimme some slicks and it's on! The NNJR PCA boys would spank him hard. Nice car though.

 

The ACR produces an insane amount of downforce. Looks ugly as A$$ though.

 

The guy can drive a little, it wont be easy to spank him, downforce makes these cars something serious. But if you do get the chance, make sure you let us know.



I'll hold it down in my area vs the vettes. Of course I have the MTI queen bee to contend with. But contend I will.

 

that vette looks WICKED as well...but there is something about a car that COMES from the factory like the ACR...I dont care how pretty that thing is.

Agreed...its funny that for some, the parts that are actually there for real purpose are those that look ugly and overdone...haha...for me, I see a wing and splitters like that on a car with 600 plus hp track car and thing...HELL YA...

If he was turning 2:04s at VIR in a 382WHP GT3 street car, what are the chances that a similarly equipped 520WHP Z06 isn't going to make him a bit quicker?

The ACR WILL win in stock form, far too much downforce and much better tires for the ZR-1 to match.

But after hearing that Mark's car walked the ACR on the straights, I think the ZR-1 will do the same, the Viper will own it hard on shorter twistie circuits, but on long circuits like Sebring, Road America or Road Atlanta, it will be close.


Add a tires, front splitter and rear wing to the ZR-1 and it's curtains for everybody.

That other vette is going to be no joke if he can drive it and know mid ohio well, You'd better have some serious machinery to spank it or be a much better driver, otherwise you can fugghetaboutit

I absolutely love Vipers in general, but when you consider what Hefferizing one will do to your HEAD they become that much more compelling. The GTS (2002) is my baby. Love the lines. Eventually I will add one to the stable for SERIOUS low E/T's at the dragstrip. Nothing exceeds like EXCESS.

 

The ACR is a badddddddddddddd car, and highly capable (hell im talking about the 2002 GTS ACR too, which i have been on the track in) it will perform without a doubt!

GT2 will be the one too beat for every manufacturer though, will be fun to watch!
