Anyone have or heard anything about the FABSPEED air intake system for the 996TT? they use a BMC air filter.. claim increase 20HP approx. looks like factory set up just fully opened up to expose entire air filter.

On other forced induction cars I've driven non-cold air intakes usually didn't make a lot of difference as the air is still has to travel through the turbos/intercoolers that a few degrees in intake temp didn't make any noticeable difference. Is this different on the 996tt?

 

BINGO! Now, if instead you install a HUGE intake plenum we'll talk some more... Normally you'd also have the HUGE intercoolers and BB turbo's by that time as well.............

 

I have one. The biggest difference I noticed was a slight change in the sound in certain rpm bands. Sounded a little more throaty. Probably made a little difference in hp, but I don't think it was 20hp.
