996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Anyone with experience with either FVD or Gemballa front bonnet? I like the look...

And thinking about doing it with a GT2 front bumper. Actual pics of the front bonnet on your car would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I have the Gemballa GT650 Carbon/Kevlar hood. Mine fits well and I really love the look of it, the price of it is redicules....I am not sure now but when i bought mine they were asking almost 4 K...i did not pay that much. I have heard where some fit poorly....not in my case, its not 100% perfect but its real close. When i fist installed mine it fit like ***......But then i had an idea, i removed the hood shocks and it fit way way better, i guess when it the hood was closed it was pushing up on the hood causing a bad fit.have a look at the pic, this was when it was on my C2, i have since moved it over to my TT, it changed the look allot, any one who see its tells me it looks way better the the OEM and gives it a very aggressive look. If you would like i will snap some pics of it on the TT tomorrow.
Good luck!

**PS Alex I would never question your judgment, I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

**I have never seen a NR part , so i couldn't say, but i do know you get what you pay for.

I wanted the gemballa hood also and bought one that a fellow six speeder had for sale. It didn't even get close to fitting my car and I couldn't find any way to modify it to fit. I suppose I will have to spend the money to get an actual gemballa hood. I do have a poor replica for sale, "cheap" if you want?

Its ok...thanks for the offer though... Is that a TA kit you have on your car? Just wondering as I'm up in the air as to the TA kit or oem GT2 front.
