For those you interested in seeing some video and pictures of this years One Lap of America, here is a new thread with just that.

Your car sounds awesome. Tell me more about your mods and exhaust.

The viper was not hooking-up in the rain. Too much HP tot hte rear wheels.

 

I have to admit it was way more awesome watching the pass from the pit wall with the deafening sound of all the cameras going "click" and all the spectators going "ooooo".

However what we couldn't see from the pit wall was just how far the Viper went off...


The exhaust is straight pipes with race cats and EVOMS K24 headers. The noise is not livable on the street without earplugs and noise canceling headphones. Turbos are standard K24s with modified wastegate actuators. I don't want to get too off topic, if you PM me I can give you all the details.

 

umm... it was wet after all.

 

Yup, it was wet.

But, at the drags we ran a 11.534 vs. the Viper that ran 11.863. It wasn't wet. But, the awd was an advantage as the Viper had wheel spin in second gear and I didn't. But, the event is run on one set of street legal tires, so you have to do the best you can with what you've got. Wet or dry.

I always thought the drive home was the worst ... after a week of going none stop from start to finish .... just to drive another several hundred miles home
