Worst car transaction you've made ...
Small fry compared to some listed, but still kick myself for being so naive....
many years ago, walked onto Honda dealership and bought a brand new accord off the lot (1 of hundreds) for MSRP.
Plus the added goods of "scrotch guard" and other BS items to tack onto the total bill. Like an idiot, no negotiation or comparison shopping. I always assumed the cheesy salesperson was laughing about it to his crooneys as the "biggest sucker of the month". I still cannot believe how clueless I was....

I feel for you there buddy!
Been thinking of getting one, but Range Rovers in general seem to have awful resale value
Yep, my worst buy was a Range Rover HSE fully equipped (even had a winch on the front)...north of $85K. The thing was a total POS with so many problems. Traded it for a Lexus LX470 and took it in the rear.
Bought my 1st 911 in 2006 (2002 C4S with 35k miles) from Global Motorcars http://www.globalmotorcars.com/ .
After I got the car, I called the Porsche dealer they got it from a few miles away. Luckily got someone on the phone who didn't know what he was doing. He faxed me ALL the records on the car. Turned out it was a flood car.
I called Global and told them I would sue unless they gave me ALL my money back including, air-fare for friend and I for the flight down, gas money for the flight back and pay to have the car picked up and delivered back.
They did everything I asked for, no questions asked. However, they relisted the car right away. A Rennlister posing called them about it RIGHT after they got it back, and they actually said the car was perfect and NO damage ever. They resold the car to some unsuspecting person. If anyone can run a Carfax on this car and see when/if the car was resold, maybe even to a 6speed/Rennlist user. Here's the info on it.
Car:
2002 Black on Blake C4S with many options. Around 35k miles.
VIN: WP0AA29932S424090- Correction: WP0AA29932S624090

Yes, the Range Rover and Mercedes models tend to take the biggest depreciation hit of all vehicles....especially in the first couple of years. My Disco stickered for 42k, I bought it used from a LR dealer for 18k.
All of these stories reinforce why there are some car sales people pulling 200k salaries....people like buying cars.
