MTBR is infamous around these parts
It's just a Murcielago wannabe.
It's too bad they left out the Gullwing doors, a Lamborghini trademark

They had to do something to ensure that non-connaisseurs are able to tell the cars apart. Besides, it were too expensive to do, since they wanted to keep costs down to a minimum to be able to compete with the TT and the Modena on the price.

I think they meant "scissor" doors. Blow away is such a non-descriptive term that I'm sure the reality is different.

On a side note, it appears that Audi "IS" pumping money
into Lambo's new race program starting with LeMans.
I'm guessing it's the Murcielago. This will be the first
in a long time that Ferrari and Lamborghini will be doing
battle againts eachother. This will be interesting! =)

A blurb from www.speedarena.com

** LAMBORGHINI DEBUT GETTING CLOSER - The much-anticipated debut of Lamborghini in the American Le Mans Series is getting closer to reality following a successful recent test of the exotic sports car in Germany.

VICI Racing will campaign the Lamborghini in the GT class of the American Le Mans Series when it begins competition later this season. The team tested the car for two days at Germany's Hockenheim circuit and all involved were reportedly pleased with the results.

"It's a very fast car, a sturdy, reliable and fun to drive automobile," said Argentina's Gaston Mazzacane, former Formula One competitor who drove the Lamborghini in the test. "It accepts setup changes easily and improves its performance steadily. I feel very comfortable driving it and I am happy to be a part of the Lamborghini project with VICI Racing."

"It has been a long road," said VICI Racing President Ron Meixner. "But seeing the car in action it was well worth it."

VICI Racing will set up a shop in Florida while competing in the American Le Mans Series.

My main curiosity is if they managed to keep the weight down to really be able to compete with Porsche/Ferrari behond paper figures. Anybody know the "real" weight of the car?
