msindi,

I believe you are correct. I understand the Techart car is being provided through CEC in Southern Calif.

Hey guys, I am finally able to post!

I will post some pics as soon as I figure out how.

Good to see the familiar faces! Chris, I hope you are back from your vacation by then so that you will be able to come to the Shootout.

Marty, the shootout is basically showcasing the fastest 996 based cars in the country. Once you see these cars, you will want to mod your Guards Red beauty to all hell.

I am honored to be invited and be in such esteemed company. Just so you guys know, although Protomotive did the fabrication work and the programming, the visionary behind this car is Wilber on this board, and he should get a lot of the credit. He was truly the pioneer in using Garrett turbos for Porsche applications as well as creating a proprietary plumbing system that is super efficient.

Wilber has created a unique system employing best of breed providers to truly create a wonderful package, for instance the IMEC short shift, Work Brombacher 3-piece wheels, IMEC front lip, all from Japan. PowerChip has also developed a wonderful throttle response program to augment the amazing software work by Todd Knighton of Protomotive. I am truly lucky to be working with some great people.

This shootout is going to be a lot of fun. Win or lose, I think it's a good way for all these hardcore Porsche maniacs to show the fruits of their labor. I look forward to meeting all of you, especially Chad, who has been an invaluable resource.

Todd @ EVOMS, I have also heard a lot of good things about you from Wilber. I am sure you can vouch for his knowledge as well.

This is going to be a great event! Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Marty,

You need to get in touch with CJV. You probably need to tell him what kind of setup you are running. In order to compete, you probably need at least 600hp, which is probably what the Ruf car is running.

So what are you doing to your car, and who is tuning it? Don't tell me you're going to be in the 700 CLUB!!!
