Question about "Sport" seats?

Were these ever offered as FULL power seats, ie, back and forth, up and down etc? As i understand it, the powered portion of the seat is only the seat back.

thanks!

No. The seat backs were electric, but everything else is manual. They do come heated as an option though.

You're welcome.

Yes, the supple leather seats were full power. They have lumbar and heat optional.

I found it weird how my sport seats weren't fully powered.. especially in such a high end car.

It's intentional that the sport seats aren't fully powered. You get a significant weight savings by not having the motors and electronics required to slide fore and aft. As they don't have to be as powerful (move as much weight), the back adjust motors aren't as heavy.
The sport seats were intended for people who wanted a bit more latteral support and weight savings than stock while not going full out GT3 race shell (losing back adjustment and the rear seats).

Very. The only complaint I get from the wife is that the headrest is set pretty far back, so it's difficult to rest your head on it while driving. My guess is that it was designed this way to accomodate the driver wearing a helmet.

Sport seats came with full power through Exclusive. Regular version is only Power Recline.

Just another data point: My sports seats are heated. Electric back, otherwise all manual and no lumbar support.

Are these plug & play with the standard seat electric connectors?

Does anyone know the weight savings over standard seats?

Thanks,
John H

The passenger seat is 100% plug and play when going from regular seats to sport seats. On the drivers seat, the plugs don't line up 100%..you must splice the positive lead on one of the plugs because the pins don't line up. I did it when going from the supple seats to the sport seats, so it's do-able.
