Check Oil Failure Indicator

Got a message that the check Oil Indicator is failing.......basically can not read my oil levels, right out of nowhere too in the middle of driving just got the message. Anyone have any experience with this? and know what could be causing this?

Thanks

During a recent drive home from a day at the track recieved a message, "Indicator failure". At the same time the oil pressure gauge was bouncing up and down before dropping to zero. Car felt fine so, I didn't stop.
Dealer replaced faulty oil pressure sending unit.

I have an intermittent failure of the sensor too. About once every 6 months the failure indicator comes on. I shut it down, reset the codes, and everything is fine. Oil level check and pressure gauge work fine too. Very weird, but I'd try resetting the code first.

I called the dealer and they said that if the whole thing needs to be replaced then it is covered under warranty, they then said if the unit can be fixed ex) wire is loose or whatever then they are going to charge. I think I should just reset it to see if it comes back before I bring it in.
