Freaking Haters :(
That sux, sorry to hear that. My last car was an E46 M3 and it was once keyed as well. I was not so lucky however, as the the "key job" stretched from my front headlamp to my rear tail light. The same thing happened to two good friends of mine, both with new cars. I think its a shame how someone could destroy someone else's property (usually for no reason at all). The way I look at it, is that these people will continue to be bitter and jaded (for whatever reasons....jealosy, etc.), but at the end of the day we can fix our cars and continue to enjoy them. Meanwhile these awful people will continue to lead their bitter lives instead of doing anything about it. Best of luck Imolas.
robertp, actually it does help, unless you are in East L.A. or East Oakland. Most people are afraid being seen when committing a crime.

That bites. I am so paranoid about mine getting keyed as well. I try to be very careful where I park, but I guess the only way to avoid this is leave the garage, drive, and return to the garage.
Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

The punishment should fit the crime when caught (broken fingers/hands). This is the only way to send a message to street garbage. Crime is out of control in our country because we don't control it.
I'm sorry to hear that and I can relate too. I hadn't even had my Porsche two weeks when someone opened their door into my rear quarter panel. It made a slight crease. The unfortunate truth is some people are mouth breathing idiots and there's nothing we can do about it. I got mad and then got over it. It still sucks though.
Sorry to hear...get it fixed and move on. I also park as far as possible away from other cars...and I never take two spaces even then. I look at my wife after parking 100 yards from the store and say, "wow we were lucky to get this space" and we have a laugh.
