Please Help!!!!

Took my new(2week old) porsche to Germen Auto Body in San Jose to get a door ding repaired. The car has 600 miles on it. They said they may have to paint the whole door. Went to pick it up today and:

1. It has 6 miles on since I dropped it off.( they can't explain it)

2. The Front spoiler totally ruined (scratched on both driver and passenger sides

3. The driver side interior mirror adjustment panel was hangin off the door (repair was passenger side mind you)

4. They didnt paint the door, they painted the door, frnt right fender, and quarter panel....not to mention, I was never made aware of this whatsoever. The owner, manager and supervisor had zero knowledge and the first time the actual painter was asked he said only the fender was painted. After hours of arguing in the driveway they said it had to be painted to be blended...BS...

Anyone here a good attorney or know one???
thanks

normally you don't paint a door/panel/hood - you "blend" the job across a larger area so the painted area is less apparent. The rest of the stuff is unacceptable. I'd ask for the owners name, call him and ask for his legal representative, and them they have 24 hours to correct or their world is going to end

The fact that gets me is they took your car joy ridding! Reminds me how pissed off I was when I took my imported euro spec M3 to a local BMW specialist to get an inspection and when I went to pick it up the shift **** wasn't tight (aftermarket). So I went in and was like WTF happened to my ****. The mechanic, a kid, admitted he took the car out for a spin and he was telling me how awesome it was. Little pecker I should have ripping the wrench from his hand and loosened the stupid screw in his head cause I was ready to knock him the **** out. In your case I would have bondo'd his *** cheecks and called it even.

GOOD LUCK!

Thats is some BS!! I would probably kill the guy that took it for a joyride...he probably got into a minor accident or some $hit. By the way, if its a door ding, why do you need to repaint it? can you use a paintless ding doctor. Hit them with all you got my man...lawyer, better business bureau....etc. Good luck!

believe me, I have been on a biz trip and am exhausted so I am sure tomorrow after a good night sleep I'll better hotter than I am now. If I had my way i wouldve kicked the **** out of him...
but my car would still be f*cked up , and I have a whole new bunch of problems to worry about..

Sue em...well, 12-18 months later and $10-20 k in legal fees to find out I am right but all that can really be done is for them to fix the car and make it right, which they have agreed to do already.
And the car sit somewhere in the meantime, only to depreciate another 15-20 K ( excluding whatever the 1/2 car paint job will do to the value)

The owner of the shop's dad just passed away ( a few days ago) so I already feel like the 3 hours of yelling I did earlier was a bit outta line ...but jesus christ man when is consumer abuse going to end???

Anyway I look at it Im screwed, I just dont have the time to fight it and it wont accomplish all that much in the long run....

So what I'll do is ***** and moan and bend over and take it in the tailpipe.

Any body shop should have liability insurance to cover these types of events. Get a settlement and take your car elsewhere.
Your P-car dealer will recommend a good shop. This is a nightmare. Sorry man.

Replace the car, at their expense. Sorry to hear this. No excuse for this pathetic business behavior.

Let them buy you a new spoiler and pay the dealer to repair the mirror adjuster, then just move on. If an insurance company is involved try to get them to withhold payment until it's all finished.
