Trade in for 996TT for 2007 MB CLS63 AMG?
I have an opportunity to trade my 2001 996TT with 18,000 miles for a 2007 Mercedes CLS63 AMG with 7,500 miles..."even Steven." Both vehicles are in pristine condition.
Would you trade?

First of all is a p car and secondly its a lot more fun to drive than a CLS... I'm sure you noticed that many people started to search and buy used 996tts as DD since their price droped, and no longer buy cars like CLS, A8,...
I traded my 2007 e63 amg for a 2002 996tt. Why? The e63 was fast in a straight line but when you put the wheel over in a turn......yawn! Mushy, uncommunicative, and the car is heavy, heavy and you feel it, or at least I did-all the time. Don't get me wrong its a great autobahn cruiser or for someone that needs 4 drs and likes the thrust getting on the throttle. As far as true sports cars go, IMO.....Porsche has it, MB does not..again only my opinion. Anyway.. goodluck and I do think the CLS has sharpest lines of any 4 door car.

i wouldn't do it but it sounds like u are looking for a change. i would highly suggest u drive for a few hours, it will help with ur decision. i'm sure the ball is in ur court too, most of the amg guys want porsches but they aren't usually practical for their uses
I had the same dilema at some point , cls63 is very fast and very nice and its also an almost new car. 996TT is still pretty fast and its a truly sportscar
cls63 will depreciate in value as well as in looks faster than the TT that looks very good still even with the 997 out and the cls will never be a sportscar more like a sportsaloon.
I dont need the 4 doors and I want some of the Porsche magic instead of the luxury , confort and power of the cls
