Kudos to SpeedLingerie!!!

I must say I am impressed with Speed Lingerie's customer service!!

At the recent Tail of the Dragon Meet in Tennessee, I damaged my SpeedLingerie Bra during one of our back road excursions.

The lower section of the bra was scuffed and scraped and required some form of repair. I called Richard at SL and he directed me to send the bra in for repair. I told him I needed it back by July 31 in time for our BIG August 1 Porsche Meet at high point New Jersey. He said he would oblige.

Well, much to my surprise, the UPS guy delivered the repaired bra TODAY!!! WOW!! I was not expecting that!! That is 4 days early!!!

The repair involved removing and replacing the lower panel. They even replaced the entire bottom plastic retainer that was scuffed from my low clearance! The bra looks like new! Lastly, they adjusted the wheel well retainer clips to maintain the side panel tension. A little R&D and I am back in action! For those that don't know, I have the GT2 front and the SL bra fits it perfectly.

There was a nominal charge for this but that is expected since this was not due to a manufacturer's defect. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and SpeedLingerie's top quality service.

KUDOS SPEEDLINGERIE!!

For sh_ts and giggles, here is photo of one of the many stops during our Tail of the Dragon Run..............(that is the KPV996TT front and center)

I've had the exact same experience with Speed Lingerie. The product is excellent quality and their customer service is extraordinary. I've used it for years. Absolutely no paint damage. It works well even at 150 MPH+. My only suggestion is to design a Bra that covers more around the 993 headlight area, since this is where I get many chips. The Porsche OEM bra does this, but it also damages the paint due to movement and abrasion.

Kevin,
TechArt bra.......Hmmmmmm......call Richard and ask. Worst case, lend them your car for a fit up and get a free bra!!

Scott,
They charged me $80.00 for the repair. It is fair in consideration of the extent of replacement.

Bill,
I tested mine up to 187mph.

Deetz,
I agree.......BTW, are you coming down to our meet on August 1?? It starts and ends right of Route 84!!!

How is this bra different from other clear bras?

Can this one come on/off easily versus a "permanent" bonded seal?

Can it be self installed?

Collin,
I have attached a series of photos that Speedlingerie sent to me of their prototype GT2 nose bra. Upon seeing these, I made my decision to purchase. This is a conventional vinyl padded bra. The distinction is that the quality of fit and workmanship is simply amazing. It is like a custom tailored Coach handbag for women!

Wow. That is an amazing fit. Your pics show the details a lot better than their website. I could see the diff in color though. It's not an exact match, which you can get with the clear ones.

I like the mesh screen for the front grills, which the clear bras don't cover. It's a pain to remove the debris trapped infront of the radiator.

Do you use the same bra on the track also?
Only thing missing is a headlight cover.
What do you cover the lights with, or do you?

Collin,
I do use the same bra for the track. I have a special recipe for $1200 headlight protection. I tape a closed cell foam packing material to the light cut to fit. It provides more cushion than simply tape so it protects against an errant stone. Here is a picture of the car decked out in track trim...........

I see that you covered more than just the lights for track.
Are those protection for the wheelwell, skirts, and rear fender?
How do you keep that plastic sheet on the car?
What kind of tape do you use that won't damage the paint?

The clear sheet is "Trackwrap". It is slightly tacky on one side and peels right off without harm to the paint. Great protection!! I have been condomized!!
I apply it to the wheel wells and hood and all susceptible areas. I will sometimes anchor it with white duct tape. The duct tape sometimes leaves residue, but it quickly is removed with 3M adhesive remover. I would rather have a good protection anchorage with minor end-of-day cleanup than a loss of it during the day!!

No problemo. BTW, you can get the trackwrap through Joe at 973.253.3900 for $25 for a 20 inch x 25 foot roll.
