Turbo Widebody Conversion
Gemballa makes a widebody kit for turbos. It has mixed reviews on the board but I personally love it. Be prepared to pay big $$ for it. I don't have any pics but they have been posted on here before and are in excellence all the time. Cary Eisenlhor(no idea how to spell it) I think had hiw fenders rolled pretty far to give a little wider aggressive look and his car is amazing. Sorry for the butcher job on your last name if you see this Cary.
Cary's setup is very clean... and he is refining it even further.
Another one to look at is the one from Manthey Racing and PSI Motorsport. I believe they are both made by a german company called Light-Weight. The panels are made of carbon-kevlar and trim about 150lbs. off the car and was developed in a wind tunnel.
Only downside is you are looking at around $30K for that widebody with install.
Another option is use the same kit that Don Relentless did from VCE. Steel flares for $9000.

I orginally looked at flaring my wheels. Then I discovered 275's and 335's could be made to fit in the existing wheel wells.
I would love to go to 345's, however there isn't currently a front wheel with a matching OD. In addition, why add the additional weight of the flares to the car.

Chad,
If you go with the Manthey/Lightweight widebody flares and bodykit, you will actually SAVE weight and your car will look better too.

Although the line is different for different people, at some point you cross the line between street and race. I like the looks of my carbon fiber hood, however is is a pain in the butt to handle. I have somewhat of the same issues with the light fenders based on my experience with the hood.
I just lost my stock internal motor because I modded a little to much. I really enjoyed it for street driving, however the stock internals just don't hold up when you actually change the clutch, driveline, tranny and differential so as to actually deliver the power to the ground and make it stick. Big difference, trust me on this one. On the other hand my KA motor is a bit much for the street. We are currently de tuning this motor a tad.
The point is there is a line. I guess individuals have to find it out for themselves.

VCE, they do steel wide body conversion instead of gemballa's fiberglass. they are like european hot rodders, prices are very good. (310)202-1555 you might have seen their work on the cover of du pointe magazine. TT front and rear flares.
