I had that type of sound too a while ago. I took of the wheel and found a crack in it.

I had the same sound, we took the caliper off and looked around, when it went back on it went away. There is a metal backing plate to check for too behind the rotor I believe!

I had a click in a front wheel on my old RSA. Turned out to be the center cap in the wheel. Tapped in in with a rubber mallet and clicking gone.

PS... that's the short version... it took about a month of messing around to find it.

some times pebble get trapped in the brake rotors. a drive on freeway takes care of that.

does the ticking go away when car is hot? if so, possibly muffler is loose or something inside is loose.
