Thread revival! I have a quick question. I used a lever to get the FPR in place. It went in, but I didn't hear any sort of pop that confirmed it was in all the way. I was able to put the retainer clip on without any problems, pushing it on with my fingers. Since the retaining clip is on, does that automatically mean it's seated properly?

Just finished installing my 5 bar. What a complete pain in the ***, lol. My clip was upside down so that was the most time consuming and difficult part. If I ever have to do that again, I hope the motor is out of the car.
Let me add some comments on the process that I found saved me time.
When the OP stated to move things to the left and carefully take out the air pump through the hoses ad wires, I found that impossible. So I created/built call it a JIG using long shoelaces. See photo. Doing it this way, I was able to dissamble and get to the FPR in about 30 minutes.
It was also suggested by a friend who happens to have a twin of my 2004 X50, to put a Ziptie on the clip.
Assembly was also a breeze, but I was strugling getting the bolts on the brakets aligned. Solution was to connect the airpump cable which gabe leverage and aligned the holes.
Total time based on the stop watch and not counting a 30 minute break, 1 hour
I had no issues getting to the FPR, I didn't remove the air pump, I just moved it out of the way. The struggle was getting the new FPR seated, that wasn't fun at all!
