Here are 2 pics of my Fabspeed tips...

As you can see they look great from the back, but they stick out too far. I haven't tried the Tubi tips, but they look great too.

Keep in mind these are modified to fit a Europipe, but I hear that they stick out on the Fabspeed exhaust's too...

my impressions

Just got the FS maxflow moderate on Sat with oval tips. When ordered I forgot the first time I had seen these tips was with Tubi. Loved the photos and wanted them. As stated I forgot who made them and jumped on the FS ones. I have not seen tubi in person or side profile on a car but the FS ones imho when on the FS exhaust did not ring my bell as hard as I had hoped. The FS ones are large for sure. I think they may be longer than tubi though b/c they stick WAY OUT THERE in lenght. Very long and don't have that nice tucked in look. From a rear veiw on the ground they look ok, but from the sides and up top looking down you can see the inner part where it curves and it makes it obvious they are tips not well tucked in. I hoped that with FS oval tips on a FS exhaust there would be no cosmetic issues. Still debating whether to keep them on or just slap my x50's back on. If anyone has a solution to this problem I would love to hear about it. I can only guess that the tubi may fit better but again, I have not seen them in person or on diff angles. Good Luck!

Adam-Funny thing is that as I look at your photo again, I think on your exh they tuck in better than on my FS? I'll get some pics up and give me your thoughts.

To be honest I think they stick out way too far. Ive seen the Tubi ones in person and I dont remember them sticking out that far... but that may be because of the EP. From the back they look great.

I wonder if the exhaust pipe can be trimmed back a bit. I have a Fab Loud on my car.

If you want to sell your tips let me know. I would be willing to try trimming my exhaust a bit for better fit. I agree they need to tuck in.

So is what I read in another post correct. There are tips for FS exhausts and Stock exhausts?

What are the different part numbers?

z8cw is infamous around these parts
Tim,
FS loud!!! I had one on my car for a while but got sick of the drown. I had the oval tips and it looked to me they should fit stock and FS. Just measure the diameter of the FS to be sure but I think FS only makes on set of tips.

CW

ps how do like my new exhaust...LOL

Yes we have two different versions of our big oval tips. If applying to the stock exhaust the tips have a longer neck whereas the tip application for our Maxflo exhaust have a trimmed neck to ensure a flush mount with the rear valence. We also offer these tips in satin black finish. PM for more information or email Joey@fabspeed.com.
