if a GT2 size wheel with that tire on a turbo car I have had no problem with rubbing

for that matter on a "turbo" car I now run a 265 on a 9 inch wheel in the front with no rub.

Tom, I think you must have the "Harry Potter Turbo" that adapts to any and all mods without problems. Mikelly on the other hand seems to have the opposite "spell" on his car. {No offense meant Mike}

it's weird that your tire will hit the front portion of the wheel well...
Check you alignment settings, b/c it seems like you Castor is way jacked up (over 8 degrees)

Actually, I do see a benefit from lowering the car. As it sits w/o lowering, the radiator buldge in the fender is at the widest part of the wheel. Lowered, there would be more clearance to the front. Still, I'm suspecting that Tom and Mike/I are at two ends of the spectrum with regards to wheel location within the wheel well. I'll have to see if the allignment experts can shed more light on that tomorrow...

I want 265s, on 9" rims, to fit also!! =)
Well must throw some info in to get the spell correct. I run -3 camber in the front and have full race springs so the car does not roll squat or dive.
may have something to do with it

Gt2

I have the same wheels on my GT2 and also get tire rub on the front fender lining very lightly but only at full lock. Not a major issue for me at this point but may eventually reinforce or modify the area later.

Gt2

I have a significantly modified suspension from stock (JRZ shocks/ custom spring rates, cup and ERP components etc) and thought that was the basis for my slight rub in front. Good to know I'm part of the club. It should be easily resolved though as it's really not too bad.

I ran stock turbo rims with 225s and a 15mm spacer with no issue at all. Just picked up a set of GT2 wheels and tires. I'll report after mounting.

lowering your suspension will give you some clearence also check your caster. I am having to replace my front fender liners due to my suspension being set with too much caster causing them to rub through.
