Hydrolic Fluid

Just bought an 03 TT and love it! Have been reading the posts and coming up with a great list of mods to buy soon! On a small note, I noticed my hydraulic fluid is low and cant seem to find the pentosin CHF 11 S that is recomended at any of our local parts stores. Live in Cypress, TX any suggestions?

If you plan on tracking the car, I recommend you flush out the system and then use Castrol SRF. Yea, it is more expensive but it will not boil under heavy usage{a problem because of the car's weight}, you won't have to change it as often because it doesn't absorb water like other fluids, and it is basically add and forget.

landjet, I think he is talking about the power steering/clutch fluid.
Cypress, you can get Pentosin from your local dealer (BMW or Audi should have it too)or order online at various sites (google)

Pentosin is used in the hydralic clutch and power steering reservoirs. You can only get it thru your porsche dealer or online thru Pelicanparts or Suncoast. As to Larry's recommendation on using SRF for your brakes, I did that... Got real expensive. If you start tracking the car, you'll be bleeding the brakes... Alot, and that $75 bottle of brake fluid you have to use every time (SRF is not compatible with any other fluid) will sting when you use 1/6th of it and have to thow the rest away...

I'd use RBF600 motul or GS610. Cheaper, works great, and I've had no issues with it.
