Help! Battery Died

So I picked up a new battery.

I used jumper cables to connect the new battery to the pop out post in the fuse box and grounded it.

As expected the alarm goes off and the horn is honking. The manual says to use the key in the door to turn off the alarm, and then pop the hood with the electronic hood button.

The alarm never turns off when I insert and turn the key. What gives?

Well, I CALLED AAA and everything worked out. It seems the new battery didn't have the juice to do the job.

Happy camper again!
