Do not ever let your wife drive your TT
The other day I saw this woman driving this Turbo around the paddock at Lime Rock Park. Minutes later it was on the track. I never saw her with anyone else, so I wonder if it was her on the track driving, because she wasn't exactly going slow. :P

My story.............my wife scratched my TT's rear wheel the very first time she drove it and at the very first corner she left the parking space.

She was with my brand new MB last night and fortunately nothing happened.

wife>anycar even if i have a zonda or mclaren f1 i let her drive it. and if she breaks it so what just a car get another one or repair it but its hard to find someone that loves you and stay wit you through your tough times.
The problem you have CAA, is YOU, you are sitting with her in the car making her nervous and that's when mistakes happen, I know I have done it myself. It's very intimidating as she knows that you can drive and you are watching over her every move and possibly questioning why she did this and that wrong, not very fair IMO.
Lol,
My fiance daily drives her 6spd 996tt and she drives it well! She's tracked many cars (and gokarts too) before, but we haven't taken her turbo out on the track yet. She drives the **** out of my 6spd gallardo as well!

When I was going to refresh my "standard skills" after many years of having not driven one, I was going to rent. Do you think I could find a car rental agency that had one? Not one.
"We'd be replacing transmissions every month". I just bought the car (a Chrysler Crossfire) and went and practiced. Fortunately I improved a bit before I traded it in for the C4.
As far a teaching my wife, I've tried a couple of times. It never ends well. I'm trying to get a buddy of mine to spend some time teaching her. I avoid the tears and she beats up his car. Cliff

The first time the wife drove it, she was SCARED because she was picking it up from getting the new suspension on it. No problems.
The second time she was trying to be nice and took it to the car wash for my birthday. The car wash scratched the lips of both drivers side wheels. Not her fault, but she blamed herself and hasnt drove it since.

I remember how I let my ex-fiance take my old seven series for a ride. Damage to the brick in the garage and the whole right side from passanger doors back to the tail light.
My motto is....if she really loves you...she will not insist if you say no...

Letting my wife drive my 996TT (tiptronic) ended up costing me over $50K.... she liked it so much she complained about being stuck driving the SUV while I drove a Porsche. I ended up buying her a SLK55 AMG a couple of months later. Issue resolved. She does drive my TT every once in a while, but is very nervous as she pulls out of the garage because I pretty much know the location of every scratch on the car and wheels. Although, she always comes home with a HUGE smile on her face and comments on all the attention the car garners.

i will remember dat!!!!!!
