Installing PSS10s

I recently bought a set of PSS10s and was planning to install them myself. I decided to check with my shop to see what it would cost to have them do it and was quoted over $1400. Is the job really that difficult? Do I need special equipment or skills? I can't find any how-to on this site or any other. Your thoughts please.

That is way too expensive. Should cost around $4-500 for the installation.

Update - After I talked to my shop, it turns out the $1400 also included lowering, alignment and corner balancing. Not too bad after all. However - a friend with connections at a trackside performance garage pulled some strings with them and got me the same work - installation, lowering, alignment and corner balance - for $580!!! My lucky day!

$580 is a good deal. $1,400 is robbery. What are the stealers thinking?
