European rear bumper?

I was searching the internet for an alternate rear bumper for my 996TT. Something with a little cleaner look. I came across the following shots:

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame...car.mv&num=436

Check out the third shot (3rd from the left) of the yellow GT2. Click on the image to enlarge it and you will see that there are no bumperettes at the rear (as on U.S. TTs). Is this a European model? If so, where can I buy the European rear bumper? (assuming it can be retrofitted...)

Thanks in advance.

Yup - euro bumpers have no bumperettes..you can get it at your dealer thought I do not have the part number. I htink all bumpers that come to the US are euro bumpers but when replacing a US bumper your shop has to make the cutouts for the extra brackets that hold the bumperettes...

One on ebay...but I believe it is for the TT's with parktronic option...

Ebay european bumper

You may also want to try carnewal.com or sunsetporsche.com...I got mine from Speedart.de, but I think there are better deals out there...

Good Luck!

Looking at the carnewal site, is there any difference between the 2002 996TT front bumper and the euro front bumper?

Thanks again for your assistance!

I believe the bumpers are the same, both without bumperettes....but it may have something to do with the holes that are predrilled for the plates?

not sure, i would shoot gert@carnewal.com an email

Sentipede -

Just curious what would be different between those with/without park assist? How can I tell?

Does the Euro model bolt on? Just paint and go?

Thanks in advance,

The park assist bumper model has the four circular cutouts across the bumper for the sensors to be placed.

Acck! That sucks. Looks like this one does have the four holes. Too bad as it's about $400 cheaper than anything else I can find.

Give it a week or so, this is not the first rear bumper I've seen on ebay....they come up for auction frequently... What did Sunset Porsche quote?

Good Luck!
