Does anyone in the Houston area know this car or its history. Thanks in advance.

I called him as he has a ad in autotrader as well. The car has been in a "front fender bender" where the headlight and the fender was replaced. The rear spoiler does not come up and there is a 2nd gear pop out issue. When I asked him if he looked at getting either of the two problems fixed, he said that 1) he liked the sleek lines of the spoiler not coming up and 2) he'd just push the shift **** in gear to keep it from popping out.

He's listed it for $52.5k on autotrader and he's firm on it. I'm passing on this one even though he's only 30 miles from me

I'm in Houston, and my car has none of the issues listed above. New transmission from Porsche in 2005, and no accidents.

Here is the link.

Thanks,
Ryan

Your car looks really nice as well. I was really looking for a X50 but I may have to wait awhile to find the right one

X50? He didn't mention that. The x50 would have those dual exhaust tips but maybe his doesn't have it b/c of the 'custom exhaust'. To be perfectly honest, when I spoke to him on the phone, I didn't get that great of a vibe.
When I told him I'd think about it, he replied "well don't take too long, this car is hot and I have been getting a lot of calls." Whenever someone mentions that to me, I am turned off b/c I dont' appreciate their pressure tactic.

Missed that one.

He listed it as a "911 2DR Coupe". Unlikely he knows what an X50 package is. I didn't even see it on ebay.

50K is a good asking price even w/ a fender bender for a 25K car. 50K asking means you should be able to get him to sell for 48. 52K and an attitude, not so good. I see there is a bid for 50.5 which if he is smart in this market he will take.

Don't bother with this car.... especially if it has a messed up 2nd gear. Are you willing to spend $10k on fixing it?
