Just ran my car against HPF Stage 2 M3!
Guys, some bad info here so far.
If you smoked a HPF Stage 2 running meth, then you either have at least a GT660 kit or more, or something was likely not running well with this, or he doesn't know how to drive!
Here's a stage 3 M3 pulling a GT660 996tt posted a few months ago. Looks like about as fair of a race as you can get.

And most of the kits done to date are Stage 2's, not Stage 3's. Stage 2 is under $20k and Stage 3 is nearing 30k. I was going to do the stage 2 before I sold my M3 and picked up a 996tt instead.
Yes, let's see some video!

In the vid you posted that HPF car is running 110 leaded and Meth, the GT660 is running 100 octane. HPF was around 630WHP and GT660 around 580WHP.
Wrasse, ran an HPF car that was on 91+meth approx. 550WHP, and with the traction issues his descriptions of what went down make sense. If the HPF car was on 110 leaded and meth he'd won, but from a 2nd gear roll, without traction, he'd have to play catchup and probably wouldn't until 120 or so.
I agree with you and others here though, the HPF cars are not a joke, lol, they are very fast, but have problems putting the power to the ground.

whats the point of 750hp on public roads. They are quality made kits dont get me wrong. If you are planning on putting down 750hp then why wouldnt you want to focus on wider tires. For example if the people buying these kits can afford anything then im sure they could afford a custom wide body

Look, I don't disagree that some bigger tires would be a good idea. But a good set of sticky 275s will do a pretty good job with these kits I am sure, esp since there is not an abundance of low end torque.
Personally, I don't really like the look of the widebody. Luckily our Porsche widebodies can fit 315s without mods.
Some incorrect info on your part as well, no worries, let me clarify.

All good Bro, you just didn't know what fuel was involved, my bad if I came across wrong.
Marty, something is wrong with that car, track, driver, etc.
One of the first Stage 2 HPF cars awhile back put down a 11.40 @ 133 on his 648rwhp kit at 13psi. He drove his car back from HPF shop to Washington and laid down the time on his own, so it seems legit.
He goes by Evil Twin Rob over at e46fanatics.
They really are impressive kits.

Uhhh, yes I know this. My point was that he drove it "from HPF shop to Washington" - meaning that it wasn't fabricated by HPF or a ringer or something. He ran the time on his own.
Go for the HPF kit if you have the cash. It's a beautifully engineered kit if you take a close look at the work.
how long does the m3 engine survive running 13psi anyway? that sounds like some tremendous pressure on a high revving n/a motor? sorry for the newby question don't know much about HPF kit....so since we're on the topic...
