Which is better ..... XM Radio or Sirius

About to install a system for the GT2, and was wondering if there is or isn't MAJOR differences between xm radio and sirius.

XM has more subscribers and is more mainstrem and " commercilaized ". Think of it as the " right side of the FM dial "
Sirius has more of an " underground " vibe to it's station lists/ formats and no commercials allowed , for now at least. Think of it as the" left side of the FM dial ".

Shank, I just installed XM in the Ferrari, It is awsome. Makes sure you get the newest antenna from Delphi is the size of about 3 quarters stacked. Way nicer than the football size first gen one.

XM Radio

Satellite Radio? This is something you might want to check out before spending $$. Read/heard somewhere that some of the satellites (don't know whose) are losing power, and that they cannot be repaired. If they go out, new satellites would need to be orbited. Just something to research and think about. Might just be a bad rumor, but before I'd spend money on a system, I'd check it out from a reliable and disinterested source.

PhatNoise

If you have a good MP3 collection I would highly recommend the PhatNoise MP3 player.

I agree with the above...

XM is the way to go. I had it installed in the Escalade and love it. The only problem that i have run into so far is that at time you lose connectivity. I have noticed this when driving among trees, or at times going under overpasses.

No one has Sirius installed? From what I have been reading, Sirius has more satellites, more stations, and ZERO commercials. Oh Vell.

I am going with XM as its compatible with the Alpine head unit.

Thanks

Anyone install XM with the new MOST connections. I want to do this...but will I have to change the receiver, amp and all the wiring as well? I know the CDR-23 has no AUX-IN so I can't think of any other way to do this. Thanks

XM Vs. Sirius

alpine and pioneer is with xm
kenwood is with sirius
you also have the option to get get satelite through a fm modulator which means you can program your radio to a certain channel that will pick up the signal, just like when cd changers were first released

seems like XM is the way to go, considering how many people seems to be agreeing - and hey it goes with your Alpine system anyway, so why not keep thinkgs simple! Gook luck with everything, and keep us informed with how it goes!!
