The Blow Off Valve you are referring too is a little different concept then a standard diverter valve replacement. The BOV is a single unit that can be setup to do full recirculation like OEM, or setup to be run 50/50 which will vent some air to atmosphere keep the turbos spooled between shifts. This unit is adjustable which is nice for those that want to run high boost pressure and have custom setups. The standard DV replacements we have been wanting to produce for a long time as we sell alot of them. This opportunity came up so now we have 2 solutions. You can view the Agency Power Blow off Valve here. This part is made in the USA right here in Arizona.

I agree that the IPD plenum produces controversial results (only helps with big turbo cars and the benefit is moderate) but I will address the assertion that Vivids products in general are just Chinese knock offs.

That is totally untrue. For example I researched the Vivid distributed AFI turbo adapter kit very thoroughly and the parts are high quality. All American steel (IE no Chinese metal) is used. I am getting the kit by Friday and I will report back with an analysis soon. A bolt on kit that allows the use of true Garret turbos is a huge plus for our community.

The bottom line is that Dan is offering, as far as I can tell, quality parts minus the normally outrageous Porsche tax. I think it is in our collective interest to support such an endeavor.

Isn't that type of offering what helped to make the Supra bang for buck what it is today Mr Carter?

BTW, it's not unusual for other vendors/companies to be using products from the far east, depends what you actually purchase, there is some crap out there but some of it is actually ok!

I actually like what Dan brings to the forum, it's fresh, he offers a great service, always has a bit of blog about the product and offers great value...what more can someone ask for.

Sean, in all due respect, you don't quite have a reputable 'technical' track record, so I doubt many people would respect your research capabilities....

But that being said, you are missing the point. It's not about pricing. It's not about US vs. Asia. I could care less about either. It's about providing customers the truth....and not dancing around the grey area and representing something that its not, either intentionally or through ignorance...both of which I believe Vivid is guilty of....

Regarding the Supra 'bang for the buck' argument, it's all relative. The fact that a Supra is cheaper, and can withstand as much, if not more, stock hp when tuned, is obviously an advantage and interpreted as 'bang for the dollar'. But it's just like when a $35k built Mustang ET's the same as a $70k built Supra. The Mustang owner talks **** about the Supra tax. It's a worthless argument for just about anyone....

OK fair point!, so what's Dan telling lies about with these Agency Power Diverter Valves?

Just curious, that's all

I don't know if it's ignorance or just a plain lie, but his Mode DV's are not 'made' in the US. Designed yes, but not manufactured. My source is from one of their employees who we have dealt with on a few race pieces this year. Again, I don't care, as lots of quality parts are manufactured overseas. I use many high quality pieces 'made' in Asia. But he should stop advertising they are made in the USA. I can only guess Vivid is just sensitive to the subject since so many of their parts are manufactured in AP compared to the other high quality vendors on this board.

Our Diverter Valves are made in the USA. Please keep this on topic about the new product release. If you have any questions or comments unrelated to this topic, please contact me directly.

Ok, I don't really know!
I would be more interested that the DV's worked well and had good reliability.
I'm sure if any of Vivid's products failed Dan would be the first to exchange or credit the customer, he has always been a pleasure to deal with.

For those have bought products directly from me and done business with VividRacing not just me, we always ensure a positive experience. With our Agency Power product line, we offer a warranty on the product to our customers and our dealers. Because of our strong stance behind our products, we usually replace the product no questions asked. Since all of our products are made here in Arizona (except the exhausts mufflers), we are able to proactively and quickly handle any situations that arise.

I just wanted to post up some pictures of our valves in process as they are made here in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I hope anyone interested in this great product for their 996 Turbo will consider looking at the quality put into them.
