Chrysler is irrelevant without the Viper IMO.

But they could just turn into a Ford with the Challenger being like the mustang selling tons of V6 models and adding a high performance car that people will build for drag racing.

Makes more financial sense. Ford sells tons of V6 stangs.

The demographic on Mustang sales: Women buy MORE mustangs than men...

Oh, and they buy a LOT of mustangs...

I am sure there are those that have exceptions, but the exceptions are much less than the American counterparts. I didnt consider a Viper simply because it was a chrysler... that and it looks like a clown shoe.
Just to share a bit of balance regarding American companies. Some years ago I bought a 99 m.y. Viper. It was very low miles but out of warranty. I had some issues with some electronic items and Dodge picked up the $800 bill because I was a new owner and the car was so low miles. I have owned almost every marque of car made and can tell you that a company picking up out of warranty expense because I argued it was the "correct thing to do", is very very rare.
The viper is an awesome ride, is easily and effectively modded and has a road presence like few cars. I hope they can find the leadership to stay modern, react to changing fuel and design trends.
