I didn't know that they gave a CPO warranty with a flashed car....I was under the impression that a flash modification would void any dealer or Porshe warranty.

Thats my car
I bought an Is-F and need to let it go. I bought it Feb 07 with the CPO and I flashed it a few months later. I wasn't aware this voided the warranty. If so I'll edit the ad

Check the wording in your warranty first, but I'm fairly sure that any flash voids the warranty....most Porsche warranties specify that ANY non Porsche parts will void the warranty unless the part can be shown to be unrelated to the failure....i.e. an aftermarket horn can't be deemed to be the cause of a MAF failure.....something like that anyway.....

cpo and a flash? no sport seats, wood trim, bumper warts, and a dent. Not my thing, I think you get what you pay for in general.

It will not "void" the warranty, but Porsche will be very 'difficult' if there is any type of driveline warranty claim. They will say the flash 'contributed' to the failure. All other warranty terms remain.

(Usually - as the owner confirmed- the car gets flashed AFTER the CPO was added, as all dealers check the SW as part of the CPO)

Not a big deal, just assume there is no drivetrain warranty. Lots of 2001s sans warranty out there.

I think the pricing is silly at this point....C4S's are costing in the 40's.....in the real world the TT market is in the 60's, higher for better cars. Only in the tracked, modded, and thrashed world are they in the 40's. I would get a very good PPI...leakdown, tranny playtime....for a cheap car, and want full service records. Cream puffs and people upside down in real-estate exist too....so you never know. But, you usually get what you pay for.

A friend will give me over 60k anytime..he knows what I have done to my car, what has been fixed. It is pretty much a fully built car now, new tranny with prevention, radio, hydraulic/clutch, etc. It is a cream puff. Another person is in line. And, I am not selling. I suspect I am a lucky person...but people have watched how I drive, how I invest in service and prevention/strengthening, etc.

Good cars like mine are out there. You just need to be very involved. Fixing these cars if abused gets very expensive.....very.

You can find many now in the 40s that are in great shape! My friend bought a 2003 for 53,000 6spd and its immaculate.

When a car has 4 or 5 owners and a bad carfax the price plummets. The car is priced pretty good for the retail market. Will probably sell for $41K to $42K but it will take a while.
