Considering ProForm Protective Film - any experience?

On a drive with the Ferrari club this weekend I was shown a new 360 with 3M clear film on the hood, front bumper and rocker panels.

Anyone have any experience with the new 3M Scotchgard Paint protection film? My car is mainly an about half daily driver, with occasional outings to the track.

Thanks.

I have it on my car and love it. I took out (2) birds under full throttle at 95mph yesterday, at the local track. The little bastards just exploded and left a couple of big smears. Wiped it of and NO marks what so ever. One hit the hood next to the emblem and one hit the windshield. The one that hit the windshield was particularly gross.

think you can see it on a dark car. Tougher to see on a white or silver car. I don't have a Turbo , but I've had the 3m now for 2 years on my 02 Cab and it's perfect. The installer came to me and installed it in my garage. It was like a work of art the way he worked with the film and the alcohol/water spray. Had the bumper, part of the hood, entire rockers, under the fuel opening, mirrors.

My Dad bought the 3M film for our A8L about 11 months ago and we have not had any problems whatsoever. It looks just as good as the day we got it. My Dad's girlfriend has it on her E class and it looks good on her car too. If you dont mind the part where it ends then go for it, the only part you really see is where its cut.

I have the 3M film and really like it. I'm in Alexandria so if you want to see it on a car we can get together. Also Dave at California Tint can put it on at his shop in Tysons for $995. I don't work for him but has tinted all my cars for the last 10 years and done great work on all of them.
