SubscribeId love to run on you on the track, but it is highly unlikely, as yes, im on Maui.
I do know quite a few Lambo owners who do track their cars though.

Like any Lambo owners actually track their cars anyway... they just let them sit in their driveways so they can rub them with a diaper and show their friends when they come over for wine and brie.
I actually run my Lambo's in top end runs, once a month. Run mile events whenever I can. And an AWD Lambo is an excellent track car, particularly long tracks with alot of room. A new 6 speed Murci is 280-290k, not 350k as you said. I dont let my cars sit, so please dont generalize. Allan doesnt either. Ive put over 200k on my Lambo's over the years, with no major problems. I for one will run my cars, and seldom lose. There is always some venue that a particular car is faster, but take a quarter mile run, a top end run, a short course, and a long course, and I will take on most and win 3 out of 4. Speaking street cars of course.Originally posted by Matt Fresh

For the price of a Murci, one could have a 650HP TT, an M5, and a 30' Colbalt.
The irony is that Viper owners say the same thing about 996TTs, ZO6 owners say the same thing Vipers, SVT Cobra owners say the same thing about ZO6s, etc etc etc. If bang for your buck is the criteria for purchasing a car, neither a Lambo nor a 996TT is a smart purchase. Rather, go buy an 03 Cobra and, with a few mods, you will have a car that destroys both Lambos and 996TTs for less than $60k.Originally posted by Matt Fresh

Once again, Viper owners say the same thing about Porsche owners, ZO6 owners say the same thing Viper owners, SVT owners say the same thing about ZO6 owners, etc etc etc. Of course, the stereotype is rarely accurate.Originally posted by Matt Fresh

Craig
Come on Craig...
How often do you see Murcis and Gallardos at the track when you go?
I would rather have a F360, or F430 than a Lambo... personally.
I like my Porsche TT much more than a Ferrari 360. I just like Porsche, that is why I own it.

Let's all thank Matt for pointing out the obvious (without knowing it)
Good way to wrap up this thread.
And I'm glad there's more than one car company in the world.
Otherwise Sharkey and all of us will be driving a Ford Mustang for kicks

But what is illogical is that you say that comparing a 996TT or GT2 to a Murcielago is like comparing a Z06 to a 996TT. That is bull****. The Z06 is a cheap, american car that should never be compared to any European or Italian exotic sports car.
The Murcielago is NOT a better sports car than a 996TT, especially not a GT2.
The 996TT IS a better car than the Z06. In fact, I would rather drive an Audi S4 than a Z06.

Oh boy
There is no logic here dude. It's all subjective. Comparing cars is like comparing the two chicks you hung out with in south beach.
Whatever gets you hard is the right choice for you, but may not work for someone else.
Get it?

Watch how this subjective thing works. The 996TT, orGT2 is not a better sports car than the Murci. Wow. That accomplished alot. lol. Different strokes for different folks. Hey, you never admitted your poor info on the price of a new Murci. Just say you were wrong. They are not 350k as you stated, but 280-290k.Originally posted by Matt Fresh

American Chevrolet set out to build the best damn sports car for under 50k. I think they've achieved that goal. Don't confuse that business goal with Porsche, Lambo, or Ferrari.
Also don't forget the Corvette has been winning the GTS class, ahead of the F-550.
Three cheers for the Yanks.

All this Lambo talk is makeing me want a Murci. 6.0 SE which car do you like better on the track: the Murci, or your 6.0? What is the major difference between the two cars, I think they still build th 6.0 liter Diablo if i'm not mistaken and the specs seem rather close I never understood the perks of one car over the other.

Id say that in the arguements you are using against the Murcielago, a Z06 is a DAMN good street car. You are all over the money aspect, so you could have 3 nice Z06's for the price of a 996TT, the power and performance between the 2 is very similar, and the Vettes are dominating the race tracks. I think you should sell your 996TT and buy 3 Z06's. Since style is not important to you, exclusivity isnt either, this would be the perfect car to compliment your mentality. Or maybe buy one Z06, 2 Cavaliers, and have money left over for mods?Originally posted by Matt Fresh

As far rather having a 360 or 430 over a Lambo, well woop tee dee do for you. Myself, personally, id take either of them over a Porsche 996TT also, thats a big statement coming from a guy who owns what many consider one of the best Ferrari designs of all time, the 355 Spider, and HATES IT.
As for a Gt2 being a better car than a Murcielago, hardly, not even close, inmo, and i consider the GT2 the best car Porsche has to offer, much moreso than the CGT.

The Diablo ended production in 2001, replaced by the Murcielago.Originally posted by ttgangsta
