Im sorry, but WTF are you talking about?? I would much rather have a 996TT or a GT2 than a Lambo. I think Lambos are bad *** cars, beautiful, etc. But when it comes to tuning, racing and performance they are not what Porsche is. How many Lambos do you see winning races? Does lambo compete in GT1, GT3 class? How many Lambo F1 cars are there? Lambo Rally cars? Nope.

Compare a Murcielago with a Porsche in its price range... a Carrera GT will take a **** on a Murcielago like King Kong on the Empire State building. I have raced Murcis in my TT and kicked their ***, and still have $160,000 more in my pocket than the sucka in the Lambo.

Can u take a Lambo cross country on a road trip with no driveability issues? Dont think so, know several ppl that have tried, not a good idea... does Lambo give you roadside asst.?

ps... A corvette is the car Adam Sandler sang about, a piece of **** car.

A Lambo is to cars what Prada is to shoes. Looks nice, smells good, costs a lot of money, but if you are running a race, you are much better off wearing a pair new New Balance.

First off, Prada makes great shoes, second go to any vette forum and you will see how similar your statements are to their remarks comparing Porsche, Porsche makes great cars, but Lambos are in a different league, if you can't admit that you are delusional.
How can you say "Lambos are bad ***" then call a person who owns one a "sucka"? Stop hating.
Like Shawn and others have said, we are so fortunate to drive these cars, appreciate what you have.

I'll post the Top gear article, the CGT beat the SLR by a small margin, but guess what? They picked it over the CGT, brand loyalty is cool but come on dude.

When was th elast time you raced in Gt1, Gt3 or F1? Thought so, neither have i.

A Carrera Gt will take a **** on a Murcielago, and its in the same price range? LOL, i think youre a couple cans short of a six pack. A Murcielago is a 280,000 car, a CGT a 500,000 car. Theres a little bit of a difference there.

Youve raced Murcis in your car and kicked their ***? Well, maybe you have, but either :
a. your car is not stock
b. the Murci driver was sleeping
c. you are the same guy who posted a few months back on how he pulled up next to a Murcielago, took off, and did a ricer flyby on the Murcis ***.

I may not own a Murci or a 996TT or Gt2, but ive driven all of them, and no stock Porsche, barring a CGT will beat the Murci. Not even close.

Personally, i love the GT2, bad-*** car, not fond of the CGT, overpriced, looks like a Boxster on steriods, but anyway you look at it, the Murcielago blows them all away in STYLE.

As for taking a Lambo on cross-country roadtrips, please, thats as stupid a question as asking what kind of gas mileage one gets. AS IF LAMBO OWNERS GIVE A ****. Thats what planes are for! I wouldnt want to drive ANY car cross country. I can tell ou what i have done in one, and thats drive from Florida to Kansas, and back in one, and when i lived in florida, quarterly trips to Gainesville from South FL, about 400 miles each way. Very easy, very comfortable, lots of fun. And btw, Lambos have been running in all the rally events from Europe to the U.s such as the Gumball, for many years now. A stock Diablo Sv, ran the One Lap of AMerica, in 1998 i believe, and came in 2nd, just behind a Mosler race car. In Australia, Lambo Diablos have been at the fore front of their race series for years, beating Porsche, Ferrari and Viper.

Does Lambo have roadside assistence, no, but ive been driving Lambos for a LONG time, and ive never needed it. As i said before, show me a Porsche, thats 6 years old, been running the kinds of power im pushing through my Diablo, and had the same maintenence history as i do. Please look far and wide, for a 750-800 flywheel hp Porsche running on oil and filter changes for 6 years.

As for Prada, funny you should mention them, my favorite shoes, pretty much all i wear to work.

As for taking a 996TT or a gT2 over any Lambo, well thats your choice, id take an 85 Countach over any Porsche.

LMAO! I find this thread so amusing for a few reasons:

1) You're all arguing over such trivial things. You are quoting data, info, specifications that are all relative. Most of the potential of the cars won't even be used on the street and the differences are so minor, a few seconds at most.

A friend of mine once said,

"This site (AudiWorld) is NOT for information sharing it's strictly for multiple monologues that result in none of the participants changing their point of view."

I think it's the same thing here. We each have our own likes, beliefs, biases and loyalities and we're trying to influence others and/or defend our biases, but to no avail because the audience we are speaking to are equally zealous.

2) You all have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars, maybe even millions and you don't have a decent DigiCam?

3) With that said, for me:

Murcielago > CGT > Zonda > Diablo GT > Enzo > (Modded) 911GT2/996 Turbo > Gallardo > Ferrari 360 > Vanquish > McLaren F1 > Koneigsegg > Viper GTS > Audi S4.

I know. I like the Murcielago better than all the other cars listed and in that order you see.

Alllan and Rave TT

I was comparing Lambo to Prada because of the beauty and quality of design. All my shoes are Prada, 'cept for a few casual sneakers I have. I love my Pradas, ask anyone who knows me, but I wouldnt be wearing them if I was running a merathon, or a sprint for that matter.

My point is that a Lambo is a georgeous car, and has an unbelieveable design. The sound of the engine is amazing, and the performance is breathtaking. Comparing the Murci to the CGT is a fair comparison, based on the fact that the Murci is a $350k car, not $280, and the CGT is a little under $100k more, not $500k. Price, and power output are similar enough to compare the two cars, just like price and power on the 996TT would be more comparable to a 360 coupe.

My arguement regarding GT class races is not that I our you are driving in them, it is that the automobile manufacturer is competing and winning (Porsche that is) in them. This says a lot about the car, the history, the purpose of the vehicle. If Lambo is the ultimate bad *** sports car, why arent they winning pro races? Why arent they even competing?

With that said, slap a few reliable mods on the 996TT, and it will absolutely destroy the Lambo in every segment. The only thing the Lambo will have on the TT is the design, and design doesnt win races, performace does. This is what I bought a sports car for, ultimate performance with reliability. I want a car that will be one of the fastest on the street, and also reliable. Cross country for me, no, but up and down the west coast, road trips, etc. for fun, yes. I enjoy driving my Porsche EVERYDAY, a Lambo is not a daily driver, and the maintainence is rediculous. For the price of a Murci, one could have a 650HP TT, an M5, and a 30' Colbalt.

Matt, the Murcielago is in no way, shape or form, 350K, it is a a 280K car, Sticker price. The special 40th Anniversary was 300K.

As for your maintenence issues, that costs are rediculous, again, being an experienced very HIGH HP Porsche owner, and a Lambo onwer, i can tell you they are not. As i said before, im running a 750-800hp flywheel lambo, with no issues whatsoever. Havent even changed the plugs yet. Try that in a 700hp Porsche. Ive been there, done that. Is the Porsche more daily driveable, yes, and the reason for that is, it doesnt garner the attention the Lambo does. Other wise, the Lambo is a very easy and comfortable car. Aj, here, who also has owned a substantial amount of Lambos, can also tell you what reliablility has been, and i believe he has put over 300,000 miles on his combined.

As for relaible mods on the Lambo, well just an exhaust system will easily put you at 625 flywheel hp, dump all 4 cats and more is available. Throw a simple 150-200 shot on it, and bring on the Porsches.

As for what you say you could have for the price of a Murci, is again rediculous. Who says you cant own those along with a Murci? Do you think my Lambo is my only car? Why would one ever want an M5? All the things you mentioned, still can not compare to owning one Murcielago.

If you want to continue on the rediculous, we can go to Z06 forum arguements, and i can ay that for the difference in price between a Murci and a Cgt, i can mod the Murcielago, and blow the CGT away in every aspect, and not have to touch anything to still have a more attractive car.

People like you are pointless to argue with, so I will just end it here. Do you live in SoCal? Bring your Murci to the track with us on Sept 23rd at Willow Springs, we will see then what it is capable of. If you run circles around my crew with your car then I will tip my hat to you.

hehe... clicked reply from my UserCP and couldnt see his location from that interface. Im sure with all the exotic cars comes a Yacht too! He could just take a nice vacation over here and bring the Diablo

Like any Lambo owners actually track their cars anyway... they just let them sit in their driveways so they can rub them with a diaper and show their friends when they come over for wine and brie.
