.8 bar in an '04 TTx50
has anyone actually checked and verified the pressure gage to see how accurate they are? Deepblue had turbo issues, where one overboosted and compensated for the other that had little boost and the gage was averaging both out so it did not look out of the norm or something like that. How trustworthy are the stock boost gages in these cars? and is that how boost is being compared?
Prsche951: Unless I misunderstood your question....you may be under an incorrect assummption if you think that anything that isn't modded is still covered by warranty. You have the issue of proximate cause to worry about....in other words...let's say you did a flash and got 550Hp to the wheels. YOu run it that way for a month or so, then your tranny goes out. You flashed the engine, and didn't mess with the tranny, but Porsche will say that the increase in HP resulted in undue stress being put on the tranny and void the warranty. Read their warranty language carefully....this subject has been discussed many times. The fact remains that PCNA can void ANY warranty based upon just about any aftermarket flash or performance part you do to your car, especially if the damage is big dollars to fix. They have sophisticated equipment to test your DME that gives them very detailed information on when and how the malfunction occurred. The newer 997 DME's record much more info than the pre 03 ones do. Bottom line...if you use aftermarket parts of any sort, you could (operative word is "could") jeopardize your warranty. Some tuners like to reduce yoru anxiety by saying it cant' be detected...NOT true.

As for warranty coverage, I agree with you and that is only logical. To clarify, THEY WOULD COVER the CORROSION warranty, and things that are not driveline related. Oh and they have by the way. I got an entire hydraulic wing actuator replacement under warranty just a month ago and I had already modded the car. I have also had other warranty work done afterwords. So again, if it is driveline related, then I am sure you are correct.
