Very cool. Judging by how quick that thing took off when it got traction in 3rd gear, I think that is a 160+ trap car all day with traction. Very stout car. What turbos is it running, and how much boost??

I think that car had quite a lot done on and in the engine. But I am sure, it runs with pump gas!

Everytime we saw those FAST porsches tuned by european tuners we never get info about the engine mods ,turbos...etc

The only thing we got is....THIS CAR RAN PUMP GAS LOL!

I know proud 9ff car owner ran 1.5bar on 93 octane then KABOOM after while

I am pretty sure it has 4,0liter, 2 big Garrets, water/air I/C, it was very light and lots of boost, but NO race fuel!!
Our pump fuel here is 93/95 US-specs octane. Nobody runs race fuel here. Instead it could be possible that it ran with water/methanol injection (which also helps a bit against detonation)...

(we all know somebody who knows somebody whose engine blew.... )

We don't know the weight of the car but I would say definitely a 9 second run if it was a proper drag strip. As an aside many Euro tuners have been using Garrett for years on the Porsche engines. Funny to see a Beetle side by side, since I suspect that the man behind the Motronic tuning of this 9FF is in fact a Motronic guru who builds some very fast turbo beetles among others and works as freelance for some of the Porsche tuners who like to go the Garrett route.

996TTSCAB is on a distinguished road
I am not sure know what others think about 9FF but seems like they can produce some serious HP. The questions is can they possibly make them any uglier than they already are. Their 9FF GT-9 with an $850K price ticket competes in the same league as the Bugatti Veyron but looking at both cars there is no comparison. 9FF GT-9 looks like a car wrapped around another car. They need to understand making cars go super fast is just not enough these days, they have to have drivability and eye appeal. Bugatti has achieved fitting this size of equipment and performance under this gorgeous looking aerodynamic shell, which 9FF came to realize, but I wonder how much more power Bugatti could have produced if they didn’t have to consider the design and the eye appeal issues. I am not trying to trash 9FF here but tired of all the hype they made comparing their 9FF GT-9 line to Veyron. For me there is no comparison of the two.

I agree. for the money the Veyron is a luxury car and is smooth and can still rock. If I had that kind of money I'd get the veyron. The GT9 is basically a stretched 911, but I have to say they appear to have built a reliable nearly 1000hp motor, which is a rarity. But it is loud, not very confortable not that great looking, they could have just used a GT1 body kit and that would have been better looking. It is fast, however:
