I agree, I just mentioned that to point it out and not let it be mesleading/blamed for the low results.

It is probably OK but just one of many possibilities. My fuel filter was replaced when I had my GT660 kit installed. They felt it was easy to do while stuff was already taken apart, and something you could eliminate as a possibility of low numbers during the tuning process.

Hang in there....try and post a dyno with all the info requested so the experts on this forum can help with the diagnosis.

It took Todd from Protomotive a couple shots to get my car at its BEST. I had to record 3rd and forth gear pulls with lamdas, injs...etc etc..with durametric,...sent him the file as I did the pulls and then he would send me back an adjusted FILE for the car until she RAN AMAZING!!!!!! Dont get me wrong it felt great right out of the box per say....but I knew I had more...I could just feel it in the car... I sent to him and he sent me back all my monies worth of ponies!!
So contact Dan, he is awesome to deal with. Ask him what you need to scan and send to him. I used DURAMETRIC, if Im not mistaken i think Dan uses that program too.
Dont worry brother... you'll get it working... !!

sorry to hear about your problems

Just by way of reassurance I have the same 650 kit and similar additional goodies. I don't have my first dyno sheet either. It was done on a Mustang and all I remember is that it was not disappointing at all. The readings were taken under adverse circumstances--95 to 100 degrees out. It's supposed to be dyno'ed again this week because it's had a few more modds and I'll get the sheet.

The whole point of this post is that the car is a beast, runs beautifully and always has. Same advice as everyone else. It can take some time to work out the kinks when you tweak these babys out. Dan will work with you until it's right and you are satisfied. Good luck. jaj

Sorry to hear about your troubles. There are a number of things to systematically go through before you start thinking about changing the flash parameters....but this is why it's best to work with one of the reputable tuners who can personally help you rather than work with a translating parts reseller. Best of luck and let us know what the issue(s) were.

I remember you and your car at that dyno day with PCA at Rocket. I had the silver 996tt. I recall that my car had almost identical numbers to yours, but the tech said mine had a better torque profile. I'm looking at the graph now. Mine showed almost flat torque of around 410 from 3000 - 4800 rpm or so. Horsepower peaked at 368 and was flat to 6700 rpm. But, my car only has an Upsolute ecu tune, and some billet diverter valves, nothing else. I remember your graph showed quite a pronounced trail-off at highr rpm's. So I'm thinking that you could also be looking for some issues that were not changed during your 650 install. Diverter valves? Spark plugs? coil packs? fuel filter as mentioned? Like others have said, the a/f graph and other things will help the experts pin it down. I'd collect those and then give Dan a call to work through it. Many have travelled this path before and I'm sure you'll sort it out.

My $.02

See you out there.

Robert

I can vouch for the Vivid parts being top quality...mine are absolutely first rate but you really need someone like Todd or Tony to customize the tune IMO.

I am still waiting for the folks at the dyno to send me the actual dyno graph along with the AFR. One thing that puzzled me is isn't the softronic flash file I have uploaded is custom tuned to go with the turbo kit parts I have on the car? Generally speaking, is there a need to further tune the car when the file comes along with the turbo kit?

And also, is there a way I can verify the flash file that I have uploaded is indeed the real one just in case the old flash file was not overwrite?
I don't think this would be the cause but just trying to find answers to all possibilties.

Guys, thank you all for the kind advise.

who did the installation and who did the upload.
Are u sure u have no boost leaks and did u put a afr gauge on it to see the ratios?
Here is what I really think is wrong.
Giac encrypts the ecus and I'm pretty sure ur still running a giac original file. Even though the file seems to uplaod it really doesn't. I have heard if this happen with softronic flashing via duramametrix a previously coded ecu. Especially giac. Solution is to burn physically a chip

That is going to suck if that is true. There may be a trick to that. I had the GIAC on my ECU then switched to Evomsit s/w without a problem.

DURAMETRIC.... check for leaks... You have to eliminate possible problems till you get to the real problem. Get it scanned and let your tuner know whats up. Send the file they request and wait for your tune and make sure your laptop has enough batt and internet conection to finish it all off... Who knows... like marski said... your tune may not even be the right one.. who knows...too many things in the air...

I did durametrics and there were no fault codes, in terms of leaks, what value I should look at.

A local shop did the install for me and I uploaded the flash file myself, and I was even sure there was a confirmation at the end of the uploading confirming it was succeesfully installed. I don't think there is any boost leaks as the DV are new, the boost lines ( supplied from the kit ) are new as well. In terms of GIAC enscrypted the ecu not able to be overwrite, do you have any leads or links that I can look for more info. Thanks.
