I get similar challenges. I dont think they want to race as much as they want to see and hear a TT under WOT!

rant on/
Although I have a different car...its is somewhat is the same league, as everyone and their mom wants to challenge me to a race...Even some of you P car owners. I am not saying that my car is like a TT, but most car enthusiasts know that my car comes from the factory blown, and takes to performance mods cheaper and easier than your cars.

I will only beat down the vette owners and the occasional M3 because they think they're superior to my "weak mustang".

Rant off/

Not sure how much your mods cost...but 500.00 for 100HP is pretty damn cheap!

I used to be one of them.

Now I look at my E39 M5 and wonder why I own it. After you drive a Porsche, it feels like such a pig in the twisties.

E46 M3 is a nice 2+2, but it's the kind of car you get because you can't quite afford a 911 Turbo.

That's a pretty elitist comment, but judging from the source, I suppose it's expected. And oh yeah, you're right... why in the world would anyone want to own an E39... geez, what was BMW thinking when they built it... what were the owners thinking. In fact, why would anyone own a Turbo when they can own a GT2 just like you! Oh yeah, I guess even P-car owners have P-envy... or is it T-envy....

Call it what you will. I will also not put a $500 chip on my GT2, but to each his own.

Did I mention I dropped a pretty penny for the ACS DFC suspension and ACS swaybars?

BTW, a Murci weighs 4000 lbs. but it handles OK, now doesn't it?

Upsolute should simply jack up their GT2 chip to $3,000,000, then I bet you'd be all over it...

You must be a complete ****ing moron. In the past, I've not bashed you out of respect for Ryan and the fact that you are his friend.

But why don't you ask him about my knowledge of Porsche tuning? I won the Shootout, *******. It was a collaborative effort between Wilber, myself, and Protomotive in addition to many other development partners. The software was custom written in house by Todd Knighton, not pre-programmed. So don't TALK to me about modding Turbos.

Anytime you want to run my GT2, you're more than welcome to, and I'll show you why your car is a piece of ****.

You think you're so much smarter than the rest of us for buying the Upsolute. Obviously, you have never run against a Ruf R Turbo to 200mph.

Murci is a piece of ****, but it still handles better than a BM Trouble U M5.

M5 is good for trips to Costco and hauling people around. I'm not sure a Cayenne Turbo wouldn't be better for that, however.

I know you're just a BMW owner, so sorry if I rained on your parade.

What happened? I though you were trying to prove a point somewhere along the line.

"Just a BMW Owner." Christ you have alot of arrogance.

The point is that I like sports cars and wish my sedan could handle like one. When Porsche launches their sedan in '06 or so, I'm sure you will see the M5 getting its *** handed on a carbon fiber composite platter.

I still don't know why you bashed me in the first place?

It's ok, I used to be a big BMW fan too. Until I saw the light and followed the path to righteousness. I'm a born-again Porschist.

You obviously must have a chip on your shoulders, as you're the one who fired the first shot "I would not put a $500 chip in my GT2". Do you really think anyone gives a **** that you drive a GT2? Humility, my friend... look it up in the dictionary.

Your posts in the past have always been elitist and totally lacking in technical content. I don't doubt Wilber, Protomotive, or any of your developing partners. I've never had one bad thing to say about those guys, and in fact, I had encourged Ryan to sent his car there, as I'd consider the same if I were in Cali due to your success. But, exactly what you contributed, who knows... your posts are always more condesending and elitist in tone than anything of technical value. You won the shootout... that's great. I don't take anything away from you for that. But, your problem is not owing a fast car.

You're a narrowminded individual whose life and ego obviously revolves around your car. And you get off on making yourself feel better by putting others down. You're somebody who would spout a elitist comment, and cover it with a chuckle... what you don't know is that people around you are rolling their eyes at what an jerk you come off as. Well, at the end of the day, you're still just another moron who happen to own GT2.

Well, that was quite profound. Humility? WHY? If you're too cheap to understand the difference between **** that works and **** that just turns up your boost, there is no reason for me not to call you on it.

I make my money by working for it. When I buy great things, I rave about them so others can feel my passion for the product and try it for themselves. After all, if you never try it, you'll never know.

For example, most people here have no basis to compare a Turbo to a GT2 or a Ruf R Turbo to a Protomotive or Upsolute vs. GIAC Stage 4. When I give my honest opinion, of course there will be people who get pissed off because I'm not telling them what they want to hear.

I am just one of the few who is bold enough to express how many on this board feel.

In extracting performance, there is a right way of doing things, and a wrong way of doing things. Period. There are tuners whose philosophy is in the right, and those that do it all wrong.

Tuning cars reliably costs money. If you're too frugal to do it, then I can understand that.

Call me elitist all you want, but who in their right mind would take an M3 over a 996 Turbo if price was equal??? So is my statement NOT true?

Only liberals think everyone can be made happy and controversy is not necessary. Are you a LIBERAL??? If you are, there is nothing more I have to say to you.
