Hmmm, is there a difference between 996 and 997 GT3 RS ducts? Same part?

I have the 997 GT3 ducts and they are not much bigger than stock, just seem to extend longer/closer to the brakes. They were only $30 bucks or so but I may go to 997TT rears and GT3 RS fronts before I hit the track next.

Are the 997TT rears worth the upgrade without doing the whole undertray? Are they really any different than stock 996tt rears? Worth it or skip it if I'm not doing the whole undertray?

FYI-I am running 997TT brakes all around with SS lines and Motul RBF600 at this point.

angldrkns9, I'll try to get some pics soon. The bottom is completely covered even opn the sides. The front and rear trays have a littel more surface and trans ducting.

kato, I do think that they are worth it even with the stock trays (the rear ducts) the small german differences are always proven.

I can't find the link, but the 997GT3 RS use the unit you want. They're not the Cupcar unit that has the rivited pieces on (in Oak's pic), but it is larger than the GT3 and OEM turbo ducts for the 996 and 997.

Thanks, guys. I'll order the 997GT3RS units for the front and the 997TT units for the rear on Monday. I'm planning a trackday soon and want the brakes to be as solid as possible!!!

I'm using stock TT pads right now but I'm running Motul RBF600 and SS lines. I will be picking up some Pagid Yellows soon as well as sourcing some slotted front rotors... That should round me out nicely for my usage I hope.

Sounds good. You are in for a treat if you are running stock pads now. Look into PFC pads too. They are very aggressive and used by race teams.

Pagid Yellows = no comparison!

Below pics show 15 track days in 7K miles on the rears and 9 track days and 5K miles on the front pads!

Guys,
A couple of quick questions.

1-according to my parts guy, the 997 GT3 and 997GT3RS use the same, smaller brake ducts. The big ones are from the 996GT3RS (Euro/ROW obviously). Please confirm or if I/they are mistaken, can you provide a part #? (996 341 117 92 is what I have)

2-my guy can't find the part # for 997TT rear brake ducts. Can somebody share the part #? Can you confirm that they work/bolt on to the 996TT without the whole undertray?

Kato, I'll post the part number tonight. I just got one from Lufteknic and it's still in the bag.

For the 997's the GT3 and RS use the same brake duct, however the 996 RS has the larger ones. Here are some number for you:

GT3 BD's:
L - 99734148392
R - 99734148492

GT3RS BD's:
L - 99634111792
R - 99634111892

997T Rear BD's:
L - 99733148702
R - 99733148802

Hope this helps!
